24/7 Air–Ground Medical Transport · Guangzhou, China

Across borders, without a gap in care.

Repatriation, inbound treatment journeys and outbound transfers between China and the rest of the world — with the permits, the paperwork and the language barrier handled by a single team.
What It Is

Medical transport that crosses a border, end to end

A cross-border case is never a single flight. It is a visa, an overflight and landing permit, a bed at a receiving hospital, an insurer authorisation, a medical escort briefed in the patient’s own language — and a handover that starts at the origin bedside and ends at the destination bedside. Missing any one of them stops the mission.

We run these cases from our 24/7 operations centre in Guangzhou, with our cross-border partner WhyTrip handling destination-side ground arrangements and local case management in the countries we fly into.

Who It Is For

Four kinds of cross-border case

If the patient and the hospital are in different countries, this is the service that closes the gap.

Returning home to China

Overseas Chinese patients travelling back for continued treatment, or to be close to family.

Travelling to China for treatment

Inbound patients heading to Chinese specialist centres, escorted from the first airport to the ward.

Transferring out of China

Moving a patient from a Chinese hospital to a facility abroad for specialist or continuing care.

Repatriation after an incident

Patients injured or taken ill while travelling, returning to a hospital in their home country.

What We Handle

Six things that make a crossing work

Every item below is arranged before the aircraft is positioned — never solved at the airport.

Visa & entry documents

Medical visa invitation letters, entry documentation and consular coordination for the patient and companions.

Overflight & landing permits

Airspace and airport approvals, ground-handling slots and customs and immigration clearance for the aircraft.

Insurance authorisation & billing

Case authorisation, pre-agreed rates and direct billing with travel, health and assistance insurers.

Receiving hospital & bed

Specialist matching, bed confirmation and clinical handover notes sent ahead of the patient.

Language & interpretation

English- and Chinese-speaking escorts, with interpretation for the patient and family at both ends.

Ground transfer at both ends

Ambulance or accessible vehicle connecting hospital, airport, aircraft and the destination ward.

Typical Journeys

How the three common routes work

The mode is chosen once the clinical assessment is complete — not before.
Long haul

Medical charter, door to door

A dedicated ICU-standard aircraft with our own escort team, then ambulances at both ends. Used when a commercial cabin cannot carry the equipment or the clinical risk is too high.

Stretcher

Commercial flight with stretcher

Multiple seats or a stretcher kit on a scheduled service, with a medical escort and airline medical clearance arranged in advance. A lower-cost option for stable patients.

Short hop

Helicopter across a nearby border

The fastest option where the destination is within roughly 200 km, with low landing-site requirements and border formalities agreed before departure.

Our Cross-border Partner

WhyTrip — our team on the ground abroad

WhyTrip is our cross-border service partner. Where our mission ends at the destination airport, theirs begins — so the journey does not break on the far side of the border.
As the landing-side partner, WhyTrip takes over the arrangements a mission cannot legally or practically complete from Guangzhou. On a cross-border case they cover:
Airport reception, fast-track and escort on arrival
Destination ground ambulance and accessible vehicle
Interpreter and family liaison in the patient’s language
Accommodation and local transport for accompanying family
Receiving-hospital liaison, appointments and follow-up
Local payment handling, receipts and insurer documentation

Partnership terms, service levels and country coverage are agreed case by case through our international desk.

How It Works

Six steps from first call to handover

One coordinator owns the case throughout and reports back to the family and the referring party at every step.
STEP 1

Case assessment

We review the medical records, diagnosis, stability and mobility to establish what the patient can safely tolerate.

STEP 2

Route & mode

Charter, commercial stretcher, helicopter or rail — chosen with the treating physician, then priced in writing.

STEP 3

Permits & authorisations

Visas, landing and overflight permits, insurer authorisation and hospital bed confirmation secured before positioning.

STEP 4

Team & equipment brief

The escort team is assigned, the cabin configured and the handover notes sent to the receiving clinicians.

STEP 5

The journey

Bed to bed, with continuous monitoring throughout and family updates at every stage of the route.

STEP 6

Handover & follow-up

Clinical handover at the destination bedside, followed by full documentation, receipts and a case report.
